Look for bras and panties she often wears. This means she is comfortable in them and they’re most likely her right size. Pay close attention to the sizes and styles of the undergarments closer to the top of the drawer. These are pieces she actually enjoys, because the ill-fitting or undesired ones have probably sunk to the bottom or been thrown away.  Take note of the various numbers and letters associated with the size of each item, since different brands often differ in sizes. You might see a 32C, 10, S/M, M, L, and so on. Make sure to take note of these different sizes, and take a quick picture of the lingerie drawer with your phone. This will help you determine the right sizes and styles for her later on. 

The Savvy Fashionista

Not all men can honestly say that they are savvy when it comes to the latest fashion trends, or fashion in general; let alone the latest lingerie styles available in the market. But if you really want to buy your lady a nice piece of lingerie she will absolutely love, you might want to consider learning about the different lingerie styles and trends out there.

Not just the parts you yourself find appealing, but the areas she herself believes to be flattering and sexy. If she has gorgeous and perky breasts, for instance, you should consider a plunging underwire bra to emphasize those two precious gifts. If her long legs are her best assets, try looking for adorable panties or sheer stockings and a garter belt that will showcase them. Don't forget to drop her some compliments. ;)

The Good Listener 

Being a good listener is a trait that not all men share, unfortunately. If you listen intently, however, you will find that picking out clothing and lingerie for your lady is really not that difficult. Women often drop hints like when you’re in a mall and she says, “What a nice dress. It'll go perfectly with my boots, don’t you think?” or “Oh wow! Elaine, from the office, has that exact blouse and she looks lovely in it.” When a woman tells you she likes something, you should take a mental note on that. And when you buy that exact item for her birthday, she will know that you were listening. Women often have a stellar memory for small details you may overlook.

But like I said, listening is really not a trait that every guy shares. So, the key to figuring out what she actually likes is to the common denominator in her wardrobe. What colors do you often see her wear? What style of clothing, or in this case, what type of bra or panty do you find in her underwear drawer? Do most of her bras have underwire? Does she prefer demi cups or full coverage bras? Does she love plunging necklines or balconettes? Even if you’re not as good a listener as you want to be, learning to observe and deduce can really go a long way.
