#1 Takinoue Park, Hokkaido, Japan
No, it’s not Photoshop. Takinoue Park is literally painted with a carpets of pink and purple moss (called shibazakura). The bright, surreal landscapes attract thousands of sightseers every year between May and June when the flowers are in full bloom.

#2 Pink Palace, Jaipur, India
Affectionately referred to as the Pink City, Jaipur, India is home to hundreds of stunning rose-colored palaces, forts and walls from a bygone era. The iconic Hawa Mahal (or “Palace of Winds”) stands out with her elaborate architecture, intricate scrollwork, domed canopies and fluted pillars.

#3 Pink Sand Beach, Isla Harbour, Bahamas
This tiny slice of the Bahamas boasts three-and-a-half miles of gorgeous rose-hued sand, thanks to the red shells of foraminifera, a tiny marine creature that dwells in coral reefs around the beach.

#4 Lac Rose, Senegal
Lake Retba, or “Lac Rose” as it is known to locals, has a high salt content that attracts a certain algae called Dunaliella salina. This algae produces red pigment to absorb sunlight, dyeing the waters a lovely pink. The shades of Lac Rose can vary depending on the season and include everything between bubblegum-pink to grapefruit-ruby.
